TRUE LIFE ABUNDANT

But He was pierced for OUR rebellion,

crushed for OUR sins.

He was beaten so WE could be whole.

He was whipped so WE could be healed.

All of us like sheep have strayed away.  WE have left God’s path to follow our own.

Yet the Lord laid on Him the iniquity of US all.

It was God’s good plan to CRUSH Him.

–  Isaiah 53:5-6, 10

We live in such a fast paced world.

We do so much

We skim over scriptures in the Bible instead of being engaged.

We read, we look, but we don’t see.

We don’t pay attention to what God is doing or saying.

We already have moved on to something else.

We miss God wanting to talk to us – to change us from the inside out.

A mentoring group that I facilitate have memorized/ internalized and meditated on Isaiah 53.  In working on it for a few weeks it really begins to humble you.  Men in this group who recite all 12 verses break down and cry.  When you soak up what Jesus went through for you it is incredibly humbling.

Allow the Living Word of God penetrate and come alive in you as well.

My challenge for you today is to get a picture of Jesus dying on the cross. (below is one to use as well) And take 2 minutes uninterrupted looking at the picture. Don’t take your eyes off it. Allow God to talk to you.  Get a new understanding of the price that was paid for your life.  May it be a fresh reminder.

How will you live your life today?

TAKE A BREAK FROM YOUR HECTIC DAY AND BE STILL.

Allow God’s Word to penetrate into your very being…and change you.

DON’T FORGET THE SACRIFICE HE MADE FOR YOU

Affirm Others

TRUE LIFE ABUNDANT

Do not withhold good from those who deserve it when it’s in your power to help them. – Proverbs 3:27

Strengthen others, encourage others, and comfort them – 1 Corinthians 14:3

Avoid and ignore negativity.  Do not add to someone’s negativity but interrupt it with something uplifting, encouraging, complimentary.

Seek and search to give someone warranted praise.

The power that each one of us wields with the words we can speak cannot be overstated.

You want to be blessed?  Bless someone else.

There was a school in a certain city that was considered almost hopeless.  What was needed was a strict disciplinarian. Shake it down to its core.  Get the kids straightened up. They needed someone real tough to come in; no nonsense. There was a man that fit the order for the job out in Los Angeles.  He was known as one who could whip even the most undisciplined schools into order.  He had a legendary reputation which soon spread throughout the school on the notice that he was coming.

The first week he was there he came to a classroom and asked the teacher if a certain student was in the class.  When he was told yes he demanded the student stand up.

Reluctantly and very much scared the boy stood up.

“Young man where you at the grocery store across the street yesterday after school?”

“Uh…uh…yeah.?”

The room got tense.  Everyone was waiting for this new top dog to unleash on this poor kid.

“Did you help an old woman with her grocery bags?”

“Uh…yeah”

The big bad new sheriff in town walked straight to the boy.

“Young man I want to commend you.  We need more young men like you doing positive things.  Good job.  Keep it up!  You ever need anything you come to my office, anytime.  I mean it, anytime”…and he walked out.

This new principal told the entire faculty that the only way to turn the school around was to uplift these kids in their good deeds as much as possible.  Give them self worth.  They need to be affirmed when they do good.

The power you wield.

Your employees

Co- workers

Spouse

Children

Friends

neighbor

Clerk at the store

Pastor

Etc.

Enrich others.  Bless them to be more confident; for them to feel better about themselves.  Affirm that someone is doing a good job.Encourage them in their work, their passions and visions.  Give strength to their self worth.

The most productive employee, most dependable friend, loving spouse, respectful child – is one that feels appreciated because they are told so.

Don’t miss the opportunity to wield that power of affirmation into someone’s life…today.

Intentionally, today……and everyday…. affirm someone, bless them, and let it bless you.

BE an ENRICHER

Truth Perspective

TRUE LIFE ABUNDANT

The enemy comes to steal, kill and destroy.  But I have come that they may have life.  And have it more abundantly. – John 10:10

When we were younger we embraced the concept that the sky is the limit.  We dreamed big.  We dreamed and visualized the career, marriage, family, and the home we were going to create.  We believed we had a strong voice, that we can make a difference.  We envisioned ourselves on top.

What happened?

Life happened.

Reality of bills and taxes.  We experience setbacks and disappointments in relationships and work.  We have painful losses of family and/or friends.  We deal with putdowns that confirm our fears.  Fear that we are limited in what we can achieve, in who we are.

We compromise, rationalize and justify, to ourselves, being less than we are called to be.  And we accept it.  It becomes our norm. Keeping close to the vest so not to be burned again. Sometimes enough to survive; forgetting to LIVE.  Those earlier aspirations – stolen? Destroyed?…..  No, just misplaced.

Paradigm – accepted believe

Paradigm shift – having a new belief in what you accept, what you expect, from yourself.

YOU ARE AN OVERCOMER because of HE THAT IS WITHIN YOU.

YOU can do all things thru Christ who strengthens you – Philippians 4:13

YOU can do more where you are, with what you have

Even with all the junk in and around your world.  In spite of all this. – Jesus has overcome this world……for you!

Start believing today that all the misplaced aspirations and beliefs will be rediscovered.  The gifts, talents and blessings you have.  Aligning your thoughts, words and actions with the Word of God.  Being empowered and emboldened to live the life abundant.

It is to intentionally create new deliberates that become new habits.

First it is praying and asking God to reveal to us how we are tripping ourselves up; how are we reinforcing these beliefs in ourselves;

the words you are speaking

what are you watching

who are you listening to

what do you expose yourself to that you have the power to avoid and ignore

Asking the Holy Spirit to quicken you to the words you speak that are not life giving.  Jesus says the power of life and death is in the tongue.

Pray for, and seek out those who God would have in your life that would empower you, challenge and encourage you.

YOU – who God looks down on with love and adoration; whom desires for you to live out all that He desires for YOU

LIVE out and seek His truth for you.

Believe there is a paradigm shift taking place in your life through the TRUTH PERSPECTIVE
