Be Willing

But Moses pleaded with the Lord, “O Lord, I’m not very good with words.  I never have been. I get tongue tied, and I stutter.”

But Moses again pleaded, “Lord, please! Send anyone else!”  –  Exodus 4:10, 13

“O Sovereign Lord,” Jeremiah said, “I can’t speak for you!  I am too young!” – Jeremiah 1:6

“But Lord,” Gideon replied, “how can I rescue Israel?  My clan is the weakest the whole tribe of Manasseh, and I am the least in my entire family!”  – Judges 6:15

In our world we need to have ability to do tasks.

The huge difference between the world and God is that God isn’t concerned in your ability.  It is His ability and your availability that He uses to bless through and to you.

If you’re willing in your unworthiness, in your inability, God will provide the resources.  So say yes and be willing to trust God when you feel He is leading you in a place you don’t feel adequate or qualified.  Then you will not lean on your own understanding!  You will have to trust Him – that’s what He wants! You will have to rely on Him. Therefore He will get all the glory for you will certainly give it to Him because you know that it wasn’t you.

That is operating in faith, truly experiencing God’s presence.

Intentionally, today….and everyday…be willing

Discover Within

Do not covet your neighbor’s property – Exodus 20:17

For we are God’s masterpiece. – Ephesians 2:10

The greatest, most productive diamond farm the continent of Africa ever had was found by a farmer who cheaply bought the farm from another farmer.  With the boom of diamond coves the original farm owner got so excited to find a diamond farm that he sold this farm to go and search for land that had diamonds.  He thought his own land that he had farmed for years, to be of little value. His journey left him exhausted finding nothing and then took his own life in his misery.

If he only had the patience and wisdom to explore the property he sold he would have discovered that he was already owner of a vast supply of incredibly priceless diamonds.  It didn’t even cross his mind that he already was the owner of incredible value.  He believed he would have to find it elsewhere.

We too look away from ourselves and covet what others have.  We tend to be deceived in thinking what we might have is not of value compared to what other’s have. We focus on how we can obtain that which we don’t have to acquire what we believe we need.

All the while if we would take time and explore within ourselves we would uncover a wealth of resources, talents and gifts to discipline ourselves to cultivate.

I want to encourage you take time in thought.  Discover your gifts and talents, abilities and resources.  How can you maximize what you have to enrich lives of others; yourself?  How are you wasting time and energy fruitlessly trying to gain something not intended for you?

YOU have vast value.  Explore how to use it to be a blessing and get blessed.

Take the focus from outward to inward and find the hidden gem God has deposited within you.

Intentionally, today….and everyday…discover within
